Indian Oven, San Francisco

April 24, 2007

So, if you like Indian food, this is the place to go. Apparently we lucked out; usually it has a big line out the door (so I’m told). However, we waltzed right in (“we” being my friend Alex and I) and that was a good thing, becuase I had to wait 15 minutes or so for her to arrive, and the whole time, I was being accosted by the most delicious smells coming from the door.

I had Paneer Tikka Korma (I think) and she had the Chicken Tikka Masala. Both were really, really good. Delicate but really full-flavored. I ate until I was totally stuffed, but I would have eaten more if we’d ordered more dishes. So, if you’re ever in the Lower Haight, on Fillmore, check it out.

Of course, if you’re not in the mood for Indian, you can always check out any of the other lovely places in the neighborhood. And stare longingly in the door.
(I love how the guy is like, “Yo!”)
