Love The (Place) You’re With

May 9, 2007

It’s so warm and lovely outside. I had a strong urge to go to my most favorite park in the world, Marys River Park in Philomath (my home town), but, since I’m not there, I went to my favorite park in Alameda, Crab Cove. It was also very lovely… twilight-y, quiet, with a very slight cool breeze. It also happens to be just down the street from my house (as Marys River Park is from my dad’s house, where I grew up).

I’m doing a better job of loving the place I’m at. It’s making a difference — I’m less stressed, and more inclined to enjoy my environment (rather than struggle against it bitterly).

On a night like tonight, it’s pretty hard not to love this place I’m at.
