Dang, it’s been hot.

So hot, the squirrels are just hangin’ around, trying to keep cool.

Terri took this picture. She’s now a full-fledged member of the squirrel paparazzi. They hold up little squirrel coats over their heads when they see her. Just kidding. Actually they pose for her (it’s true!). But when they’re so dang cute, and they flop down with their little arms and legs hanging over the fence like this, how can one resist?

It got up into the low 100s Sunday and Monday. Thankfully it’s relatively dry so it wasn’t that bad, but yeah. Hot. Ok, I had my summer, I would like autumn back now please.

It’s been hot at my parents and sister’s places in SoCal too. It’s like you’re trying to squeeze all of summer into a a short time. And while squirrels can be cute, just wait until you start gardening. As soon as they start digging up your stuff they won’t be so cute anymore!

Oh, I’m sure. I was looking at how to build raised beds and they have instructions for “squirrel net” posts. I’m thinking we’ll need to do that!!

Terri has already taken probably 100 photos of them… so more squirrel photos are imminent! They are awfully adorable.

Weird. For once Houston is cooler. We had a mini-cold front move in and it’s been in the 80’s.

Don’t worry…it’s a teaser. We will get bitch-slapped soon enough.
