Wild Animals of the Night

January 29, 2011

The Late-Night Basket-Jumper. *That’s* why I can’t sleep lately.

The Mysterious After-Dark Suet-Eater (rarely caught on film!)

Too much attention for him. (he later went back to eating after this was taken, undeterred by the knowledge that his image was about to be plastered all over the Internets.)

Terri says, “There is NO WAY we can camp out in the backyard now.” Giant raccoons, killer hawks, rabid suet-eating possums… “They’ll smell my fear…” she says.

“They’ll smell my fear” – awesome.

Mr Thomas does have the look of a scoundrel, doesn’t he? An adorable scoundrel that you just couldn’t help falling in love with…

I have to admit that I totally love possums :p I think they’re adorable, lol…though I know they’re quite pesky as yours seems to be.

I think they are ugly-cute too… this one was not so sure he wanted to be in the spotlight.

    Ha, ha, ha! Funny.

We have two bat-shit crazy pit bulls next door. They put the fear in all of us.

Pits can be sweet but the bad ones (of any dog!) are scary for sure.

I don’t know, with that late-night basket jumper it doesn’t seem to be safe outside or inside!

We moved to a place of innumerable dangers, apparently.

Oh no….They’d smell my fear too. No way. I love nature from behind glass.

You and Terri can sip hot chocolate and observe while I shoo away the critters.
